Edsel

Front view of a 1959 Edsel, one of the most questionable designs in modern automotive history. While the Edsel was not well received by the public and the clumsy "horse collar" front end contributed greatly to its demise, the symmetry, balance and unique linear qualities combine for interesting subject matter. The highly polished finished in contrast with it's less than sleek appearance proves that beauty is truly in the beholder. My first entirely acrylic painting in over 30 years establishes a bridge between realism and abstract forms.
